Thanks for visiting JJLMF.com, a website created to educate teens and others about depression and other mental illnesses. This website is part of the Joseph J. Laurencelle Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization started in 1996 following the death of
Joe Laurencelle, who suffered from bipolar disorder, one of the most serious forms of
depression. Like many others who suffer, Joe first showed signs of the illness when he was in high school. Tragically, he took his own life when he was 26. Through this website, and the programs and special projects created by JJLMF, we can begin to erase the stigma of mental illness and save lives.
